Contents
Potassium iodide.
Description
Each mL contains: Potassium Iodide 5 mg.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Preservative: Methylparaben 0.2%, Propylparaben 0.01%.
Action
Pharmacology: Systemic Iodide as well as Iodide topical administering could activate/stimulate metabolism and prevent the turbidity of vitreous body. The Iodide effect to senile cataract symptoms still not be certain. In several cases it could slow down the increase of turbidity level.
Indications/Uses
The turbidity and bleeding of the vitreous body are caused by age, myopia, hypertonic, diabetes, periphlebitis. The first symptom of senile cataract is lens turbidity.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Drop it to the conjunctival pouch, 1 - 3 times a day.
Special Precautions
External use only.
To prevent the contamination, avoid direct contact between the tip of dropper and eyes.
If eyes in pain, change in vision, irritation or reddish occurred more than 72 hours, stop administering and consult it to a physician.
The safety for pregnant and breast feeding women is unknown.
To avoid contamination, close the bottle after usage.
Do not administer if the colour of liquid is changing or becomes turbid.

Adverse Reactions
Local effect on eyes: Feel burning or irritation could be happen after administering the medicine, sometimes it occurred concomitantly with the increase of tear-drops.
Systemic effect: Iodide could cause hyperthyroidism and some acne effect on several patients.
Storage
Store below 30°C, in a tightly closed container.
Use within 4 weeks after opening.
